Diamond Jewelry Care

Eventhough diamonds are the hardest natural substance, they require special care to prevent damage and to keep them looking their best. Suggestions: Remove rings when doing manual work. Have your jeweler periodically check mountings.

It is also important to clean diamonds at regular intervals. Some methods are:
1. Using mild detergent and warm water, you should rub it with a soft brush and dry with a lint-free cloth.
2. Soak for 30 minutes in a 50-50 solution of cold water and ammonia
3. Dip the diamond into a commercial liquid cleaner, which is available from jewelers.
4. Use an ultrasonic cleaner which is also commercially available.
