NBA Finals 2008 - Lakers vs Celtics?

It's been on everyone's mind ever since the playoffs started. With the L.A. Lakers and Boston Celtics having the best regular season record in the Eastern and Western conference, the possibility of these two teams that dominated and rivaled in the 60's and 80's NBA Finals meeting again in the 2008 NBA Finals is high. And now, with both teams being in the Eastern and Western conference finals, the Lakers and Celtics are two wins away from making it to the 2008 NBA Finals. It will be great to see these two teams go at it again for the championship trophy.

The Lakers and Celtics rivalry started during the 1958-59 season of the NBA. They have already met 10 times in the NBA Finals and the last time was in the 1886-87 season which the Lakers won. The Celtics have won 8 times during their 10 NBA Finals matches against the Lakers.

I'm sure many of the NBA fans out there wants this finals match-up to happen specially the old ones who have seen the Lakers-Celtics rivalry in the past. This will be the rebirth of one of the greatest classic rivalries in the history of the NBA!
