For generations we all knew that there was this organ in our body that we had little or no information about, that is our Appendix. It has been dismissed as superfluous,at often times we question science and God for it's existence. Most doctors and surgeons figured out that it had no function and had them routinely removed yet,people lived fine without them. When infected, it could turn real deadly.This is about to change our views right now!
There is a new research made by the Duke University Medical School, They found out that the appendix seems related to the massive amounts of bacteria populating our entire digestive system. Sometimes the normal flora (natural inhabitant) of bacteria in the intestines die or are purged.Deadly diseases such as cholera and dysentery would extinguish the useful bacteria. The appendix replenishes useful bacteria in that case.(from the Journal of Theoretical Biology)
As my conclusion to this, do not take this little guy for granted and thank it for supplying us good bacteria to fight the harmful ones. There are little things in life we take for granted, what we didn't knew could save our lives someday. Hope this article opened your mind somehow. Ciao!

Farewell PRIDE FC
2007 was the year of upsets in the fastest growing sport in the world, MMA. Not only that, It is also time to say goodbye to the once premiere organization of MMA, PRIDE FC + (1997-2007).
Since it's franchise under the Zuffa banner, Pride and UFC was supposed to merge and become one big happy family. Too bad that didn't happen, Suddenly things changed when the parent company Zuffa, managed to trick Pride enthusiasts that became a living nightmare.
They bought Pride FC for a cause and that was to take it's stars out and transfer them in the UFC to make it the world's premiere MMA organization. Thanks to Mr. Dana White and the Fertitta brothers for ruining everything. At the start of this week, it was official that PRIDE FC is closing it's Japanese headquarters in Tokyo.

At ADCC, Marcelo has won the 66-76 kg division three times in a row (2003/2005/2007), been awarded the most technical fighter twice (2003 and 2007), and won the best fight award in 2005. In 2005, he also finished in third place in the absolute (open weight) division and in 2007 finished second in the absolute division. Wow! what an impressive resume that is.

Moving further, I'd like to introduce the most devastating grappler who had ever set foot in the sport and is considered one of the fastest rising stars of MMA today!
He is Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza from the Amazonias. He has been a perennial top competitor in the sport of BJJ for several years, winning world championships. Known for his quick and athletic submissions he is often called JACARE (Portuguese for the Yacare Caiman, a type of alligator).
Famous in his battles with Roger Gracie (Won via points) and Randy Couture (to a draw). Ronaldo de Souza is one of the top submission wrestlers in the world today and currently has an MMA record of 5-1. He released his only instructional video named:

And last but not the least in my list of top instructionals and fighters of all time
would be Marcelo Garcia.
He is considered by many to be one of the top jiu-jitsu and submission grappling fighters. Marcelo has five world championship titles in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, two of them as a black belt (in 2004 and 2006). He also has many submission grappling titles, including ones from the prestigious ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship. At ADCC, Marcelo has won the 66-76 kg division three times in a row (2003/2005/2007), been awarded the most technical fighter twice (2003 and 2007), and won the best fight award in 2005. In 2005, he also finished in third place in the absolute (open weight) division and in 2007 finished second in the absolute division. Wow! what an impressive resume that is.
He has released 4 sets of instructional videos and like Saulo, His innovations had gone to the extreme and thus , makes him "The Most Technical" of grapplers around the planet. In his sets called:

What you will learn on these tapes is that Marcelo Garcia’s techniques are not based on size, strength or superior conditioning. His moves are so unique that most of his opponents are unsure of that to do when fighting him. What Marcelo teaches is the exact strategies and techniques he used to win the 2003 Submission Grappling World Championships.
Closely resembling the way Mario Sperry teaches, Marcelo not only explains in detail each technique, he teaches his complete game from the beginning of the match that leads to these incredible techniques. This allows you to understand what leads up to these moves working in real fighting and sparing. Learn Garcia’s amazing new X-Guard and his brutal Arm Drag technique that allowed to him to take the back of four of his opponents, choking out three of them in the World Championships! You will also see that Marcelo Garcia has reworked many older moves with new variations, making them dangerous new techniques that you will want to learn! This incredible series also shows many of his fight clips during the teaching so you can see him do the move in live action and then watch him teach it.
